Contractors messed up the brick on my house, how do I/they fix it?

Question:I am building a new home in witch we picked out a certain brick color. The brick looks great except for one spot on the front in witch they placed many of the darker shade bricks on top of each other. It gives the impression that the spot is wet when it is not. Is there any way they can fix this? The spot is near the base of the home. What are my rights as far as getting this repaired? Any help appreciated...

hmmm that's a tricky one Dan, try talking to the brick layers, see what they can do, I'm sure if u noticed then they will have too, the shades should have been evened out, it may be(is) possible to remove some of the bricks from this area without disturbing the whole wall and then replacing with other shades to soften the area in question, not a fun task but very do-able. stand your ground be assertive and hold back payment until u are satisfied, this is your home dont settle 4 second best. good luck.

Talk to them but be firm, they can fix this and feel they should without giving you a hassle. Hold back on they final payment until you are happy with the job.
i would also contact the brick maker, most cubes of brick tell you how to unload and distribute them to get an even mix of colors. to save their butts they may help you get the masons to fix it.
