Prisms...Repair?

Question:I have a few prisms that have been in my family for quite some time and they are chipped and a little cracked. Is ther any way to repair them slightly or fully?? Help

Answers:
Chips and cracks might be able to be removed by having the surfaces reground. Maybe you could drop by an optician store and see if it's feasible..they could probably refer you to an appropriate company or lab.
