Question:It keeps getting caught on the top shelf and coming off.What kind of a rubber cement should I use? And is it alright to do that

There are several sealants that might work. One is called SEAL-ALL. Also the GOOP adhesive sealants work well. Most of the gaskets for dishwashers do not require sealants however. If it is torn, or worn out look up the brand name and model number and call your city's service center for that brand. You can usually pick up a new one. You might also find a new one on-line and have it delivered.
