How do you get wax off of wood floors?

Question:Several ounces of hot wax spilled onto my wood floors. What's the best way to get it off?

Answers:
i would get some goof off(cleaner) and put some of that on it and than i would tak a small putty knife and scrape it up its easy just dont scratch the floor.

Paper towels and a hair dryer. Works like a charm. Lay the paper towels on the floor and use a hair dryer to melt the was. The paper towels( or any other absorbent material) soak it right up. This also works on carpet and other fabrics.
get a product called goo-off(its sold at any store. walmart most likely) and put a little down and scrape it up with a knife, but be careful not to scrape up the wood floor.
i would do the hair dryer... we use an iron and brown paper bags to get it off carpets.. should work on wood too
