I have a soft water (salt pellets) system. Will salt be included in the ice cubes in my refrigerator?

yessiree. If your fridge is hooked up to your homes main water supply (which Im certain it is)

Yes: How much depends on how well the back flush system works on the water softener. I had a culligan system and never noticed the salt taste but it had a very good back flush system to rid the brine from the water...
Umm... maybe. First, very little salt is added to your water with a water softener, but most people don't like the taste. Some homes are designed such that soft water goes everywhere except the kitchen sink and the outside spigots. So it all depends on where the water line for the refrigerator comes from. The only way to know for sure is to follow the pipes and track it down. If all the water coming into the house goes into the water softener then it's all soft. If there is a pipe that branches off the water line before hitting the softener then you may be in luck. If you can't see the pipes, melt some ice in a glass and get a hard water test strip from your local hardware store. You could then compare your hot water (which is almost guaranteed to be soft) with the melted ice.

Good luck!
I use water of my Fathers; it has a softner. I believe not, but not real sure?
If it's excessive sodium you'll know it. There's more sodium in 2 pieces white bread than 1quart of softened water. The ice cube maker uses between 6&8 oz. per batch.
