A/C problem, high suction pressure and low discharge pressure...?
Question:I noticed my blower sounding funny and it running for a long time so I checked it out. My suction line was frozen, so I remembered it had been a long time since I changed my filter. Changed the filter and let it thaw. Kicked it back on, the blower still sounded loud or funny so I hooked my guages up. Was only 85 or 90 outside, very humid, and about 80 inside. My suction pressure is like 75-80 and my discharge was only like 150 I think. It seems like my blower is blowing alot harder than usual. I also checked the coil and its not dirty underneath. The unit is only about 2 years old. Any suggestions?

bad thermal expansion valve(txv) ...a high suction pressure with a low liquid line pressure usually indicates the unit is allowing to much freon through the a-coil.this would also show why your liquid line pressure was low as the metering device was allowing the freon to enter the a-coil so fast it couldnt build up enough pressure...now if your unit does not have an expansion valve but an orfice...this will not be the problem as an orfice can only get stopped up and not bigger...if your unit has an orfice instead of an expansion valve then that would only leave the compressor to be going bad...now the blower sounding funny could also have a direct relation to the problem your having .blower starting blowing than it should or less air than it should would along with any other problem that is wrong would make or cause some changes to your systems freon pressures
sounds like you may have damaged your compressor, what is the current rating and what is it drawing now?
what was your superheat the tempature of the suction line minus the tempeture of your from your gauges is it r22 or r 410 sounds like 22 with pressures like that it really sounds like the txv is turned the wrong way or stopped up
