Why is my gas heater flickering in one of its 3 chambers?

Question:I've just bought a new gas heater (LPG) which ran fine for a day and now has developed a flicker when running on setting 2 of 3. Is it broken already? Or does this have other reasons? I've tried fiddling with the gas valve, no change.

P.S.: In case you're wondering who's mad enough to run a gas heater this time of year, I'm in New Zealand, where it's winter.
Cheers.

Answers:
You most likely have dirt or lint in the burner orifice.

is this an infrared or open flame heater?
One of the orfices are most likely plugged or restricted.
