How do I fix squeaky stairs which are pre fabricated?

Question:I have pre fabricated stairs which do not have any nails or screws in them (at least visibly). I do not have access to the bottom of them, and can hear the noise is coming from the side of the stairs on the wood which I am assuming attaches it to the wall. The problem is where the squeak is coming from it doesnt appear to be a stud to screw the side board into. How can I fix this?

Answers:
If you can, squirt some glue or construction adhesive into where the squeak is coming from. That'll usually fix any squeak. If not, tear that bad boy apart and shoot a ton of fasteners into it. That'll teach that squeak.

Good luck.
