My weather stripping on door is coming off, how do I fix.?

Question:I have a metal exterior door and the magnetic weather strip seams to be coming off on the lower end of the door. Can I replace this strip with a new one or is there some kind of better easier strip not magnetic that I can use?

Answers:
I really doubt that the weather stripping is magnetic. If the weather stripping is still in good shape you could try to use something adhesive to keep it held on.

If the weather stripping is coming off, it is probably a good idea to replace it anyhow because it is probably old and not sealing as good as hit should anyhow. Most weather stripping from what I recall is just peal and stick weather stripping. So take a piece of your weatherstripping into the local hardware store and match it up. Then you can just use your old weather stripping as a template and cut the pieces so they are the same size and it should fit perfectly.
