What type of boiler is suitable for a flat with no external wall access and no waste pipe connection.?
Question:I have a hot water boiler and a hot air heating boiler.I wish to replace both with one boiler and install central heating. Both of my boilers are in a cuboard in my living room, with a service duct going up the building and no access for waste outlet pipe,I live on the 8 floor.
Answers:
Modern fan flued boilers only need a 100mm diameter hole through an external wall. I'm sure you must have one as I cannot envisage a flat with no windows. Consult a heating engineer they should give you a recommendation and a quote free of charge.
you have got to have a waste outlet pipe, what happens to water out of bath/shower/sinks etc when you are finished.
Sounds like you need a condenser combi boiler, but get a corgi plumber to fit it, they have to have insurance before they start.. Look for local plumber at

Stick NEW boiler in kitchen (via CORGI Registered Engineer) onto outside wall. Remove old boilers, seal up DUCT and use as cupboard space lost in kitchen. Either that or move??
no idea why you need a waste pipe connection. you can have your hot water boiler replaced with a combi boiler but do use a corgi registered plumber
