Is lattice heat resistant?

Question:I need to cover my radiators because I'm starting a daycare in my home. Could I use lattice in the wood frame that I make to cover the radiators? The lattice will be like 2 inches away from the radiator so it won't be touching the radiator. I just want to make sure the lattice is heat resistant.

Answers:
It probably will be ok as long as you keep it back from the radiator the same distance as the radiator is from the wall. Remember though, little hands and arms can fit through very small openings. Make sure the lattice opening is small enough to prevent the kids from reaching through and getting burned.

it might be
Lattice is generally wood, so it will warp and crack, etc. However, if you painted it with some sort of special paint it may work...
