Is there a spray concrete I can use for my loose stone wall?
Question:My stone retaining wall is starting to drop stones from the top and shift in the middle. It is two tiered with planter beds in the bottom part. I don't want to take it down and start again (don't really love it), but I need to secure these stones. Is there anything on the market that will allow me to spray a concrete material into the wall?

Wow, that's a tough one. Call your local concrete or mortar company and ask what they recommend. Sorry, it's a little over the top for me:-(
It may sound nuts but try mixing morter and filling a baker's frosting bag with it. Put the nozzle in where its needed and squeeze. It should fill the hole and you can also you can make really decorative swirly things on top. OK i made that last part up.
Try it though, it will work.
THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM IS A PRODUCT CALLED "GUNNITE" , IT IS A CONCRETE MIX PUMPED ON THE WALL THROUGH A PIPE,AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LOT OF WORK. CHECK YOUR PHONE BOOK FOR A DEALER IN "YOUR AREA"
IT WILL DO WHAT YOU WANT.
Theres a tube of mortar you can put in a caulking gun. It even dries the same color as weathered concrete. Very inexpensive. Just spread it on stones and wall where they meet then around the base after you place it. Smooth it out with your finger. Hope that helps...
Why do you need to spray it? Wet the old concrete, then apply mortar with trowl. You can set the loose stones this way as well. Us a latex type mortar or add latex in the mix. This will help to adhere to the old concrete better. If you really have your mind set on spraying, My neighbor used a popcorn spayer on his foundation. He just mixed the mortar a little thin and turned up the pressure. I think he used the pink insulation first on top of the old cracked concrete, then sprayed to simulate a new concrete wall.
You do not want to apply a surface material to a retaining wall.
Find the drainage holes behind the wall and fill them with a mixture of mortar mix and water to make a slurry. This will bond the wall from the inside.

call a mason and have the wall pointed...
