Does anyone know about repairing sprinkler system?

Question:I messed up wiring can't figure out how to wire solenoids to controller. I have 3 zones..can only get one to work.

Answers:
There will be 4 wires going into the controller that you will use. Green or white would be used as the common. The common wire gets connected to 1 wire on each solenoid, that would be 3 wires to the green. The other colors that you use would go 1 colored wire to 1 solenoid wire. Those would go in the numbered slots of the timer. The reason only one will work, is that you have a zone wire in the common wire position. When you turn on the zone with the common, it powers that zone like it was wired correctly.

Rob is right. you have the common mixed up with one of the lead wires. there should be four wires for three zones. check for power until you get the wire that is hot with all three zones, that will be your common, then hook it up with one wire from each of the valves, then hook up the others each to there lead wires.
