How do I get rid of mold fast?
Question:We have had some water damage in our basement and we have recently discovered we have mold along our base boards. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

You need to get a dehumidifier inside that basement ASAP!! A simple combination of bleach and water will remove some mold, although a lot of mold that grows from standing water can be toxic, so call your home insurance company and see if they have a servicemaster or serve pro professional group to handle water damage. they usually remove and restore back to new for you at the insurance companies expense
In a spray bottle, mix equal parts of bleach and water and spray it on the mold. Do NOT wipe it or you will disturb the spores and possibly breathe them in. When it dries, there will be a crystallized looking residue left which you can wipe up. It's probably still a good idea to wear a mask that protects you from breathing it in.
