IF I SMOKE INSIDE NEXT TO MY AC, WILL PEOPLE WALKING BY lT OUTSIDE SMELL THE SMOKE?

Question:DOES IT TAKE INSIDE AIR TO THE OUTSIDE?

Answers:
Oh yes, they will. Cigarette smoke is very easy to detect and usually the materials in your walls prevent some of it going outside and hide it. But as soon as there is an open way (like the ventilation system) the chemicals will get airborne and people will notice.

I don't think so actually
No
No, inside air remains inside. Only heat transfer takes place outside. The heat absorbed by the coils is blown away from the air conditioner by a separate fan.
I dont think so, the ac pulls air from the outside, cools it and blows it into the room.
If its a window unit that has an exhaust feature and it is set on exhaust, then yes they will smell the smoke, just turn off the exhaust and your problem solved.
yes!! unless your AC is set to re-circulate the inside air, which is unhealthy,, it uses outside air to pass over the cooling coils,, it exhuasts most of the inside air to get rid of the heat in it,, thats how an AC works,, by removing the heat from the air!!
Too bad if they notice. They walk along, breathing in the poisonous exhaust fumes spewing from dozens of cars and trucks, but never seem to notice or complain. Yet they'll be bothered by a cigarette. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
You will be able smell it.Sorry.
The ODOR from smoking pot might get your neighbors upset.
