My mini fridge is making popping "expanding" sounds.?

Question:My fridge never made these noises till the power went off in my house. When the power came back on my fridge was making popping sounds, resembling ice when it cracks from change in temperature. Or the sound of metal expanding possibly.

Any idea what this is? Why it happened since the power went off?

Answers:
Maybe its evolving into a side-by-side.

Sorry, hahahah I just had to say that. Oh me, thats funny!

Okay-it could be the auto-defrost coming on and off. When the heater starts up it does kinda crack the ice. And when the heater shuts down and the freon comes back on-it makes a popping noise. This is common-and you should have heard it once or twice a week.

It probably has a built in defroster, and when the power went out the temperature dropped a bit creating moisture. So the defrost unit kicked on so ice doesnt form and build up.
