How do you get rid of ants everywhere in your house?
Question:i have ants all over my house we've bombed the house we put chaucking in the windows we keep spraying ant spray everywhere. they mostly come through my room from the windows and they're flying ants. Worst of all we just got a puppy and he's infested with them. How can we get rid of them with out harming our puppy?

Your flying ants are really termites ants don't fly.You need to call an exterminator.You can use a puppy flea and tick collar on your puppy safely.
Remove all food sources. Do this by sealing EVERYTHING that's not in the fridge or freezer with plastic bags. Spray the foundation of your house with that spray that's made just for that. Put ant traps all over the house, especially near the windows. Good luck, I know what it's like.
Start outside. If they cannot get in, you diminish your problem. There are pesticides made just for this which you sprinkle around the edges of your house.
I think dymond is correct: you may be dealing with Formosan termites. In that case, you need professionals.
However, ants do fly at certain times, but only young queens seeking new nests. Very unlikely that they'd target a house, though.
It also depends on which part of the country you live in and which species you are having problems with. Argentine ants are harmless, unlike their fire ant cousins from South America, but very annoying.

I buy this stuff at home depot called ""home defense"", it is a spray for ants plus other bugs...spray inside and out ...around the foundation, behind cabinets, by windows and just all over except eating places or places where children would touch..spray every 3 weeks and they are gone. we had them in the dishwasher, the dog food, the dining room table up until we sprayed everywhere.as for your dog, I would get him dipped ..as for flying ants..make sure they are not termites! I also put vinegar in my window sills after I spray! TIS the season for pesty ants! good luck.
