I have a6.5hp inter edge ohv engine mod. 97100396 ser 121602-0121-e1 oil is leaking on the exaust side?

Question:is the engine worth repairing-the engine runs fine

Answers:
Yes.

I've worked on many of these and I'll tell you that the most common source of leaks is a simple gasket. So just go get the gasket replaced (10.00 bucks for a gasket plus labor if you don't put it on yourself) and run with it for a few more years.

I'll take a shot at which gasket it is even. The OHV gasket. It's four bolts and one gasket. Usually very easy stuff. But if you do it yourself, make sure you don't tighten the bolts down as hard as you can because you want to maintain the elasticity of the gasket otherwise you'll ruin the gasket.
