Fridge Freezing after Power Outage?

Question:I lost power for 4 days due to the recent storms in my area. Fridge worked fine before this. Upon power being restored..the fridge is just freezing everything. It doesn't seem to be turning off and on the way it should be. Any ideas?? Thanks

Answers:
Since it is freezing everything the refrigerant system is working properly. However the thermostatic control which may be solid state could have suffered damage during the storm either at power loss or power startup. Sounds like it simply needs the thermostatic control replaced.

Try turning it down. It should have a regulator dial inside. See if that helps. The power surge when it came back on may have damaged a component.
Most likely suffered a power surge and the compressor may need to be replaced. You should call a respectable appliance repair company in your area.
May have had a power spike when the power went out that fried some control system component in the fridge. If it lasts more than a day, I would call for help.
