After a refrigerator has been on its side, how long till i can plug it in?

Question:

Answers:
I would advise 6 to 8 hours. The oil and refrigerant needs to settle back down into the compressor or you could ruin it.

A few minutes will do.
it might be ruined
rule of thumb is 24 hours.
I have been advised before that a minimum of 1 hour to allow the oil and lubricants to settle, therefore you don't burn up motor/compressor etc... If it has been laying on side for a couple of days, I would let it stand upright for at least 4 to 6 hours before plugging in. Hope this helps.
