Dryer coil glows red at first?

Question:i had to replace my dryer coil, and at first it glows red, then fades, is this supposed to do this?

Answers:
The temperature sensor is probably telling the heating element that it has reached the proper temp. The coil then turns off. It could also be caused by a clogged vent and the dryer is holding too much heat.

Yup, that's how it starts up to heat.
