Need a little help with Lawn Mower?

Question:I have no idea what kind of riding lawn mower it is, but I was wondering not only in a car but the also a lawnmower what would cause a starter to keep going bad? I buy a new starter for the 3rd time and it is about to go out again. i know it has to be something more. Any suggestions??

Answers:
i have had starters to go bad one after another . the teeth on the starter could be sheering off because the teeth on the fly wheel could be going bad . hopes this helps

bad fly wheel
Probably a bad flywheel, but it could also be the starter mounting holes were drilled in the wrong place from the factory. Either way I would suggest sending to to a shop for professional help.
Try using shims. These are small pieces of metal made to space the starter away from the flywheel a specific distance.
On most lawn mowers the starter pinion gear is replaceable. You don't need to buy a new starter for a $5 gear. Is the gear the issue or is it something else. What are the symptoms?
the only thing that i can think of is the starter stripping off the teeth. thats all i can think of.
