My cellar dirt wall has ahorizontal shiny saplike line near the bottom about 4 feet long. What is this?

Question:Is this some kind of pest infestation or is it something naturally occurring?

Answers:
Have you gotten a sample of what the line is. Knowing whether it is sap-like or simply wet would be helpful. Also, is the line near the top or bottom of the wall? Usually you don't find a lot of home pests in the dirt. It could be something like slugs, but they would be more likely to crawl across the floor not the wall.

it could be snails crawling that's what they look like if it is look for the snails ,you may see them . if you have put some pellets down.
