Ercol furniture restoration?
Question:I have acquired some 1960's Ercol dining chairs which need restoration to their finish. Basically wood is sound but the finish has worn and needs bringing back to its original condition. Can anyone advise how it should be done and the finish that should be re-applied?

Why not try e-mailing their Customer Services Department... if you send them a really nice e-mail "bigging-up" the quality of their fantastic 40 year old furniture, they might send you some restoration information (or even some samples, believe me, I've had some real results from writing to people). Worth a try.
