Is it normal to have dents on the floor of pools?
Question:Is it normal to have dents on the floor of the pool from where people stepped on? Because in my pool at night when the lights of the pool turn on you can see all these dents from people walking on it and it looks ugly. The pool was finished about a month and a week ago. I was just wondering if other people have dents on the floor of theyre pool too..
I think the reason is because the people didnt pack the sand right, what can i do? Sue or something?
Answers:
totally normal for the plaster not to be smooth, lights probably installed to low which enhances the imperfections via shadowing.
if its not showing up in the daytime then its most likely the lights are too low, ..cover lower half of light in shallow end and see if imperfections are still there...
Depends on whether it is a concrete pool or a cheaper home pool that you put in yourself or had someone help get in. For the plastic pools, it is totally normal as it is just sand and dirt under the flooring of it so it will give from the weight of the person as well as the water. If it is a concrete pool, best call your contractor and get it fixed as that is not supposed to be. The way you said it, with the sand, I take it you have the former and that would be perfectly normal.
Is it concrete or vinyl pool. If it is the latter then that is probably normal. if it is concrete I would call the company and ask them to look at it.
Hi There!! :) I have a vinyl pool and I have the same problem. It does look ugly!! It's from stepping on the bottom and moving the sand. It's like sand holes where the sand has moved from that spot. Unless you want to rip it down and start over, there is nothing you can do. It's very likely it will happen again so I would try to over look it. Take care! Have a cool summer with your new pool!! ;)
