How do I fix a broken piece on a tripod,plastic?

Question:The middle piece of the panhead that hold it to the tripod broke. I need to know if it can be glued?

Answers:
There are man types of plastic and they require different glues. Polystyrene, what cheap models are made from use airplane glue or styrene or model cement. If it is a phenolic resin, you need two part epoxy, if it is HDPE, nothing I know of works very well. Either order a new part from the manufacturer of find somebody who knows plastic to help you, maybe at a home center.
