Should I use ceramic briquettes with my grill?

Question:

Answers:
It's entirely up to you. You can ,but its not really necessary. The #1 purpose of those are to make money for the manufacturer. If you bought a gas grill worth ,lets say two thousand dollars, has a lifetime warranty on the bucket,a lifetime warranty on the grates, a ten year warranty on the burner, how are they to make money? Well you guessed it! The add -ons. The ceramic briquettes are yes, self cleaning.Yes,gives you even cooking temperature throughout the cooking space, Yes ,sends the flavor back up into the food(by evaporating the grease)and all the other goodies they claim. But hon, they sure don't last that long and at fifty to seventy dollars a box it's only money in their pockets. If you where to use your BBQ without them, you would only have to clean it out maybe twice a year instead of one and a half times a year. Its up to you. Bye (I don't use them anymore)

In a word.NO. The newer grilles are not designed for ceramic briquettes.
I love to use them !
