What are they doing on the plain ground??

Question:Well, I live in a compound and there used be some factory next to us. Now they said, they're gonna expand it and take over tis area. Unfortanantly, they just cleared the area and did NOTHING, basically.

Right now, they're spreading water all around, why is this, do they have to do so before building anything?

Answers:
They are packing the soil. The more water they spay or irrigate the tighter the soil gets. (Frequent watering is why golf courses have to areiate once per year). Basically they are prepairing for constuction on the "watered" ground. I seriously doubt that the watering has anything to do with economics, wildlife or the enviroment. Sorry to hear they have killed everything around you.
