How do I fix my outdoor underground pool that is sinking?

Question:The foundation for my swimming pool is sinking how do repair it?

Answers:
It is possible that you have liquefaction of the earth, water has been collecting under the shell long enough that it has found a way out, leaving an air gap in it's place. This is a job for a professional. I believe they have to drill and inject concrete under pressure under and around the pool to stabilize it. They will probably drain the pool enough so that it kind of "pops" out of the ground an inch or so to reduce the weight, and then fill it again after pumping.

I would say that there is nothing that you yourself could do. You may be able to get a concrete specialist to come in, empty the pool, cut holes in the bottom and pump in concrete to stabilize it. I don't know if that would work or not. I have heard that in Florida when sink holes form under houses, that is how they stop them from sinking. This will be a VERY expensive repair. Good luck.
