Our washing machine just stopped working...?

Question:i have it set on super large load, and cold water and just a few mins ago stopped right in the middle of the washing cycle. ours is a ge brand. the reset button is not working. what can i do to fix this? we've had this machine not even a whole year, it was bought brand new from home depot for us as a wedding gift! thanks

DId you already try unplugging it, and waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in? That works on some appliances.

I would be calling Home Depot, whether it's under warranty or not...they SHOULD know what the problem is...if they don't, that will tell you a lot about Home Depot and then you would have to try calling GE next...I am sure they have a customer service hotline, should be in your owner's manual
Check your breaker for that outlet and see if it tripped. It may have overloaded the circuit.
Do you remember who gave it to you?If so call and see if there is a warranty on it,there should be.I would even call Home Depot and tell them who you are,it may be in your name there.Good luck.
It sounds like one with an electronic panel (big mistake) and if it is not under warrenty, you may want to check http://appliancequickfix.com/ to try to see what is what.
