My new caulking gun is stuck?

Question:My new caulk gun I just used to seal four outside windows stuck after i pulled the caulk tube out...The rod is half way down the tube holder and stuck..Any suggestions on how to get the rod with the tube holder to push back out..I'm NOt done with caulking my outside house yet...

Answers:
I agree with Stevetower. A lot of caulking guns have some sort of mechanism that must be depressed in order to pull the rod out and load another tube.

Find any neighbor who has a ladder rack or tool box on the back of his pick up truck. Chances are he is a contractor- Offer beer or cigarettes if they'll help you- chances are they will fix it for free.
Try really hot water...that might soften it up enough for you to get the rod back out.
Try pushing it in and then back out. Try cutting the tube up with a utility knife. Are you pressing the plunger release (it's the Little lever in back)?
