Answers:
you need someone with a gauge set and vaccuum pump, also-what year is this vehicle, what make, model, etc... chances are if you had a refridgerant leak a low pressure switch would make sure the compressor never engages. try this, start your car up with no heat or a/c turned on, with your hood popped go look at the compressor and see if the whole pulley is spinning, or if just part of it is. then, while you watch the compressor, have a friend turn the a/c on and see if something engages on the compressor (the compressor clutch engages and makes it actually start to pump). now some vehicles have constant run systems that dont have a compressor clutch, so if nothing ever actuated and the compressor was turning from vehicle start then your car might have such a system. if you would like more help contact me via y answers and i will do my best without hooking gauges up to it. i have taken classes on transportation a/c (airconditioning, as in conditioning it to be hot, cold, less humid, etc... not just cooling it) and have a license to handle refridgerants and work on trans. a/c systems. i also currently work on home a/c and heating systems, which is giving me a broader spectrum, and just a little more knowledge on the topic (you can never have enough).
Not sure if there's a question here, but it sounds like you have a freon leak...runs but no cold air..
good luck
You need a pro. Long distance diagnosis without the correct testing gear is at best hit or miss.
I will need more information in order to help you fix your a/c.
I do except email. (see profile)
