Question:What are the effects of a bad door on a draft door on a furnace.If the door falls off will it allow co2 to get into the house.And what will it do to the operation of the furnace as a whole?

The purpose of a draft door or barometric damper is to lessen the draft. So if its not there you may have too much draft in the flue. This can cause an incomplete burn resulting in elevated levels of Co and wasted heat energy going up the flue.
