How do you fix a phone if it fell into a pool?

Question:my friends phone fell into her pool. how do you fix it?

Answers:
the best way to do it is to leave the battery out of it, and leave it set for a few days... dont try to power it on while there is any chance of water being in the phone, it will short it out. A trick that i learned from working with sprint, is to get a hair dryer out, and try to heat it up a little, but be very careful, because the heat can damage the phone too... hold the hair dryer away from the phone a ways. Another thing to do to get it to dry out, is to put it infront of a fan, try to get some air into the phone, but either way, i would let it set for a good 3 days to a week, and then put the battery in it and see if it works.

put it in the airing cupbaord some where warm 4 it 2 dry out not hot though warm n dark
Take out the battery and let it dry for about 2 days.
You let it dry out. If it doesn't work after a few days, then it's not going to work. The phone will have to be replaced.
immediately take the battery out, and let it dry for at least one day.
battery thing is good wat the other ppl suggest i heard that if a watch falls in u put it in a cup filled with salt adn it takes the water out like in a few days and they start working see if the will work for ur phone but dry it first...
I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it. Even if it dried out and started working again, there's a good chance it could fail at any time. Not very dependable.

For peace of mind, your friend would be much better off getting a new phone.
