probably Alaska but the pacific northwest(washington, oregon, Idaho) is very popular for log homes theres even conventions and such for log homes. My husband and I are planning on building a log home in washington state

Alaska, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. There is a start for you but if you are looking into getting a business in making log homes then you really need to look at what has come out in the last few years that has gotten cheaper for the person wanting the log home to begin with. Now I lived in Washington state and I saw tons of log homes but half of them were fake log homes meaning they had gotten paneling that made the stick built home look like a log home. SO I would look into that and see how much you would make or if its not for a business but for you to buy a log home check out what is out there.
