The simple answer is yes. A good number of manufacturers supply brass fittings an their installation kits.
Yes, but make sure you use Teflon tape (or liquid Teflon) on the threads to fill the gap caused by differing expandability of the materials. Not necessary with brass on brass.
Some reasons I can think of for a No would be if the tank & associated plumbing are used for , chemical, pharmaceutical or food processing.
