Please help! im hot!?
Question:dont have AC. dont have a fan. it 83 degrees. cant sleep. i tried cracking a window. didnt help. cold showers dont seem to do much. now im sweating. how can i cool my house down? all lights are off. all shades on windows are closed. no sunlight is getting in our house. so why am i still hot? i cant sleep with 83 degrees. even if im naked, i still cant sleep. help!

Open windows wide during the night, close them in the morning along with shades and curtains. Invest in a couple of fans to help pull in the cooler night air and keep it circulating during the day. The only other thing you can do is sleep in a tub of cold water. Sounds as though you have poor insulation in the walls, especially if it's cold in your house in the winter.
Go buy a fan! They are cheap, buy a few!
window AC maybe?
get a window unit at least for the bedroom they start at around 160 bucks
Place an icepack inside your pillow cover and lay down so it is on the back of your neck, works every time for me.
