How do I reinforce/repair or replace my cracked fiberglass tub . I have 3 tubs-2 upstairs.?

Question:it looks like I would need to tear out the door jam/facing to replace the unit. which is more cost effective? repair or replace? i have 3 bathrooms with the same problem??

Answers:
If you have three tubs with the same problem it seems apparent what your course of action ought to be. They do make replacement tubs that come as components to be assembled, in place, for situations like yours.

Yes, they do make component tubs that come in three pieces but, your going to pay for them too. Are you willing?
They also make tub renewal kits, I've done this to quite a few tubs with excellent results.
If your handy and willing. Go to Home Depot, ask for the tub kits. They come with colors now. If your tubs don't need filling, like big cracks or gouges, then it'll be easier.
Otherwise you'll need a fiberglass kit also, not expensive, just more time.
Then the guys at Home Depot will explain the use of the kits, there $35.00 apiece. It takes work, no doubt but, you'l like the results and, it'll be cheaper and less expensive then replacing the tubs.
