For those with pools...above or below ground...Question about chemicals...?

Question:Do you prefer Chlorine or Baquacil? What is your reason for your choice? Thank you...

Answers:
I much prefer working with and using chlorine. Baquacil has a tendency to gum up filtration systems, leaves a residue on skin that makes it itch, leaves a baguanide resistant bacterial sludge on the inside of your plumbing, requires frequent filtration stripping and sometimes replacement, puts a nasty ring around the pool rim, and a host of various other things.

These normally don't occur during the first couple years, but every year it gets closer to the 3rd or 4th year you will experience more and more of these problems and there's no way to eliminate them by following the Softswim instructions.

For me chlorine is MUCH easier to use and does exactly what I want when I want.

We have an above pool and started out with chemicals but tried the baquacil and it worked fine for awhile but then the cost of their chemicals went astronomical and just was worth the cost since we can obtain the same result using regular chemicals for less
