Does anyone know of a good carpet stain removal solution?

Question:or a type of recipe for carpet stain removal. I have some nasty stains in my new bedroom.

Answers:
I use a home remedy of 1 part oxy clean, 1 part salt and 6 parts hot water. Mix (depending on size of stain) example: 1 tablespoon of oxy, 1 tablespoon of salt and 4 tablespoons to half a cup of hot water. Mix well until disolved, but don't let it get to cool in temp, sponge onto stain scrubbing a bit into the stain blot dry. Sometimes the oxy doesn't dissolve all the way, in which case I just let it dry and vacuum up the powder residue after. This worked well with any food or organic stain for me. Keep in mind if your whole carpet hasn't been steam cleaned in a while, this will leave extra clean spots that look like they've been bleached, but it's not. If your stain is something like ink I'm not sure it would work but you could try it a couple of times to see if it works. I actually bought a dollar store copy cat of oxy clean and it worked great. Try it in an inconspicuous spot just to be sure of carpet colorfastness.

I used nair remover on my carpet and surprisingly the stains came off. they were from soda and paint.
have you tried vinegar and water the acidity in the vinegar breaks down the enzymes of the stain.
