How long does Rustoleum garage floor coating last?

Question:I'm thinking about putting this on my garage floor. How long does it last, and what happens when it starts to wear off? For the Home Depot service, is the double layer coating (primer & coating) sufficient or is the three layer coating (pirmer, coating, clear coat) worth the extra money?

Answers:
My advice is simply get the cheapest 1 part epoxy. It will last for 5 to 10 years depending on garage use. It is a standard color so any wear after that is easily touched up It is about half the price of the 2 part rustoleum stuff and almost as good. Very easy to DIY. Just use a brush for the edges on the wall (Cutting), and a roller on a handle for the floor. Will take about an hour for the average garage. Looks Excellent and you can do it for maybe 80 to 100 bucks, including brushes and paint pans.
One caution though, with all of the epoxy paint, make sure the floor is clear of oil.
Clear coat is nice if it is for a classic car showroom effect, otherwise its a waste of money for a working space.

I would recommend skipping all of the above and going with a concrete stain. It goes on easy and actually gets into the concrete. Barring a deep chip in the surface, it will last as long as the concrete itself.
