Bosch Front Loading Washer Question?

Question:So that rubber liner and the wire ring with the spring on it came off of my Bosch Front Loading washer. Well I cant get the ring and the rubber back on. I can get the rubber on (hardy har) but not the ring because it causes the rubber to come off the attachments. Do I really need the wire ring because it looks like it will hold up, but I don't want water all over the floor if it doesnt. I also don't want to break the rubber part if I don't have to.

Answers:
Don't run it without the spring it will pop off again and flood the place. The water will keep trying to fill the machine but won't switch off as the full detector won't operate. Try once more, are you sure there isn't a screw adjuster on it. You will need to loosen it before refitting the seal.

This might sound like a stupid question, but is it under warranty? You have a nice and $$$$ machine.

Other than that, leave it off and see what happens, but I don't see why they would put unnecessary parts on it.
