Seeking advice on which is the best tool to use to paint the underside of outdoor aluminum patio awning.?

Question:I believe a brush would drip when painting overhead and am concerned about getting good coverage on the ridged surface. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Answers:
You could roll on most of the paint and smooth with a brush.

Mini foam roller. Use a work pot that is large enough to keep the roller out of the paint. Find a screen that is smooth but will still spread the paint on the roller. A small brush to work the joints will be helpful. The last touch should be the roller. Keep the edges wet do not dry roll if you can help it.
A brush is still your best option. Don't overfill the brush before going overhead. A roller will still drip/splatter paint.
