Repair wooden sidewalks?

Question:I am writing a book. If you had dirt roads lined with wooden sidewalks that were in great need of repair would you fix them or tear them out and add concrete side walks. Would you have to pave the road as well. What would be a ballpark of a price to do any of this if the main street were six buildings long on both sides. Keep in mind it can be very ball park it is a fictional story I just have no concept of where to look for this info.

Answers:
i would take out the wood sidewalks if you going to pave the road and as fare as the roads go i would say $75,000. LOL :)

Good luck with your story

Repairing wooden sidewalks is infinitely less expensive than installing curb, gutter, sidewalk, then grading and applying a paved road. If I was the mayor ofsuch a town, I would repair the wooden sidewalks.
