Anybody know how to get the indentations out of a carpet left by furniture?

Answers:
It depends on how heavy the item on the carpet was, and how long it was in place. Here's the best way to restore the fibers, but it may not work totally. Take a steam iron filled with water and hold it about 1-2 inches over the dent. With a small tool (piece of wood or back of an old toothbrush), work the fibers up as you steam the rug. After a few minutes, run your fingers through the dent, raking the fibers up. It may take a few times, but it should look better when it dries.
vacuum, move the furniture, agitate with a toothbrush---repeat every 12 hours.
They'll disappear.
I've heard that if you rub the area gently with and ice cube that that helps. It is suppose to stiffen the fibers.
Vacuuming over them will help, You could try rubbing the area with a wet cloth and letting it dry. Usually it is just a matter of time.
Put ice on them.
Put ice cubes in them and let them melt.
hi
Vacuum the rug
then used a STEAM IRON and blow steam on it
the vacuuming again with roller brush attachment
I am not really sure if this works, but my mom would always put a cube of ice on them, then after the ice melted vaccum them. I thought that they went away, but I lost interested in what she was doing when she started talking about dusting.
i normally just rub the spot with my fingers and gently pull up. the marks will gradually get smaller, and in a few days they will be entirely gone.
