Are the chlorinating granules the same for a hot tub and a pool?

Question:I have a hot tub and it seems you can not find the chlorinating suppiles as well as the other supplies needed in larger amounts so it seems I am always runng out,I was thinking if the supplies are the same I would just purchase lhe larger supplies provided for pool use to use in my HT.

As far as I know they are the same. Just make sure you use right amount. As long as they don't say NOT FOR SPA USE. I buy one inch chlorine tablets for my spa from the pool supply section of the store.
Pool chemicals are also a lot cheaper. The pH levelers and such may be different because of the water temp. Just check ingredients on anything you want to switch.
If the spa is under warranty, they may not cover repairs if you don't use specific chemicals. So you may want to check into that also.
