Priming consists of filling the pipe with water. If this well was working properly before, it is probably a bad foot-valve. This valve is a check valve that stops the water from above the pump from draining out. May be a case of no water in the aquafer and the well will need to be drilled deeper.
Never heard of priming a well but i have heard of priming the pump to git water from a well. Its a very simple procedure.george
Prime the pump by filling the pump and well pipe with water.
