Can holes in wood siding (from woodpecker damage) be repaired?

Question:If not - any tips on replacing wood siding? (note: I have cedar siding).

Answers:
Pieces of siding can be fit in and is the best fix. Might have to trim parts to get it in. If the holes are small and you have a solid color stain, you can fill the holes with wood filler and stain over it.

If they are just small holes...you can try filling them in with a putty knife and wood filler. You can get wood filler in pretty much any color that will not show on your cedar siding.
