Whats the difference between Chlorine liquid and tablets?
Question:I have an above ground pool and was wondering which is better between the 2.
Answers:
As mentioned, the tablets are stabilized chlorine. They dissolve slowly in the water and are used for maintaining chlorine in the water. Liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite and is the same as household bleach but in higher concentration (double). You can use regular household bleach if you wish without problem as long as it's non-scented.
im no expert...do you have a chlorinator? I think the liquid is to shock the pool and the tablets are slower dissolving to maintain the proper chlorination level. If you have a small size above ground with no chlorinator you just use the liquid or granular. I think the slow dissolve tablets have a higher percentage of chlorine and less inert materials. i hope this helps!
The liquid is wet and the tablets are dry and solid. The tablets need to dissolve in water to be used for bleaching. Read the package.
Liquid chlorine is chlorine without additives and is normally used for shocking pool water. Tablets and granules have a stabilizer added to prevent the rapid loss of the chlorine from being broken down by sunlight.
Use tablets or granules for normal use and shock once a week to ten days with liquid(you can get granular shock also much less bulky and easier to handle than liquid)
OK, forget the guessing and go directly to http://appliancequickfix.com/
