How do I move a certain outlet to a different breaker?
Question:I recently bought a new air conditioner and it keeps tripping my circuit breaker someone told me i could fix it by moving that certain outlet to a different breaker . Could someone please tell how this is done and if there are any helpful websites to check out.

Its a little more complicated than that. If the breaker you move is rated 20 amps and your line is #14 wire you can melt the line before the breaker trips. For your own safety get an electrician or a friend that is mechanically inclined. Please.
I agree that it is a dangerous situation. You need to know the size of wire for the air conditioner you have as it may need a 15 amp circuit or a 20 amp depending on size. It might be possible to wire it to a circuit that is underused but that would be a call for a electrician. I would estimate maybe $200-$300 but again that depends on where you live and the type of work you need done.
a window unit 120 volt needs a min of a number 12 wire a 240 volt unit needs a min of a number 10 wire each one on a breaker by itself runing wire it can be tricky so if you dont think you can do it call a pro a couple of hundred sounds about right
you would first have to determine where the breaker is that feeds that outlet, and what else is connected to that outlet, than you have to find the wire size in that outlet and make sure that you use the correct amp for that circuit,
